The Tonlé Sap is the largest lake in Cambodia and the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Its area is roughly 2,500 square kilometres in the dry season and can grow to more than 10,000 square kilometres in the rainy season.
Tonlé Sap Lake is in the centre of Cambodia and touches six provinces: Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Thom, Pursat and Siem Reap.
